What the Fuck Do We Know?

Hollywood Video was having a sale, buy 2 get 2 free so I picked up a number of movies:

Nacho Libre
X-Men, Last Stand
The Davinci Code
What the Bleep Do We Know?

At first, this selection of movies was thought to be totally random, not having any ties with each other except that they were movies.  However, since I’ve watched them all, I find that they are all related to each other in other ways.

Nacho Libre, is a movie about an orphan, turned Friar in an old Catholic monestary in Mexico, turned into an “evil” wrestler (religious overtones). The Davinci Code, links to two of the movies, one tie is Ian McKellon who is also Magneto in X-Men, but also the topic of the Davinci Code is quite religious and philosophical.  The last movie, What the Bleep, is strongly scientific and philosophical and just as radically wierd as the concept of the X-Men and just as consequential as Davinci Code.

That last movie, What the Bleep, struck me oddly.  I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started watching it but right at the start I realized that it was pretty much about how I’ve always felt about the world, especially since I learned about Quantum Physics and Uncertainty.  This movie stretches the odd world of uncertainty and possibility into a radical way of thinking about the life we live, now.  Good movie but does require some grasp of science such as what atoms and cells are made of.  It also requires an open mind and imagination.
