Bigotry in the Workforce

It is amazing to me how lax, in some places, liberty is for people.

A while ago I did a youtube vid about a doctor in California who unlawfully denied medical attention to a mother and her child because the mother had tattoos and piercings.  The doctors excuse was that it was against his religion to aid such people.

I could hope that this guy is now bankrupt or lynched but I think that’s asking too much in this day and age.

A new case is bubbling up where people are being fired from their jobs because they’re asked to DO their jobs and they refuse to function in their duties because by doing so would violate their religious beliefs.  This is different then the doctor in California.  This is a case where our little man on the totem pole who is also a religious nutjob, say acting as a social service worker, refusing to do their job for a pair a homosexual people.  The problem isn’t that when these people get their asses rightfully fired for failing to do their jobs, they’re being compensated for it by courts who find in favor of them, saying that they had the right to deny the service.

Dude, that is not how it works.

It’s these types of situations that christians like to use as an example of their own oppression in the workplace.  It figures, doesn’t it?  They’re not allowed to exercise their bigotry and so they whine about being oppressed.  *rolling my eyes*

People like them, as I’ve said before, serve humankind better as fertilizer.

Another Christian proves unfit for purpose in his chosen career

That article contains some of the inspiration for this post.
